THE REPAIR BENCH

Find the fit.
Then make the fix.

  1. Find the exact model. Look for the model label on the back or underside of the machine. Include suffixes such as “A” or “PLUS.”
  2. Identify the failed component. A jam or unusual noise can have several causes. Compare the original part with the listing photo.
  3. Compare the details. Check part numbers, tooth patterns, shaft openings and dimensions where available.
  4. Ask before ordering. Send us the model number and clear photos of the original part, including a ruler for scale.

A few useful distinctions

An HP ink carriage gear, a paper feed gear and a split pinion gear are different components. Likewise, the Singer TS380 PLUS and Stylist 7258 use different gears. Match the specific product page to your machine.

Before you start

Disconnect the equipment from power. Use the manufacturer's service instructions and keep track of screws and small components. If a repair is beyond your experience, get help from a qualified repair technician.
